HEALTH RESORT TSAKHKADZOR: WEATHER, HILL – SIDES, SLOPES, CHAIRLIFTS, SIGHTS

Tsakhkadzor ski resort is located on Tegenis hill – sides in a very beauty spot. Weather at the resort

Hill – sides and slopes

On hill – sides of the mountain there are three sections, each of which is suitable for a defined level of experience. On the top there are black slopes, middle level is ideal for calm skating, lower — a chamfer — the most difficult, demands the high level of experience.

Chairlifts

The first chairlift (height of 1137 m) has a carrying capacity of 1200 people per hour; the second (height of 1458 m) with a carrying capacity of 800 people per hour; the third and fourth double chairlifts — height 1624 and carrying capacity of 800 people per hour, height 926m and carrying capacity 800 people per hour consequently.

Characteristic of slopes

The first line is the slope which was earlier used for bobsleigh. When choosing the first slope it is necessary to pay attention that it has quick turns on steep hills upwards (to 270°). The slope is dangerous in that it has big jambs at the edges and also there is a risk to take off over the cliff because of the sudden turns.

The second line is the plain slope about 3 km long, which width on a virgin soil makes about 300 meters.

The third line is the slopes which are chosen by the fans of extreme sport. There is a sports – chamfer, very steep slopes, 9-meter eaves, and from top opens the view to the majestic Ararat and its valley.

Service and sights

All required equipment can be taken on a hire. For visitors work the instructors. There is a possibility of skating and lifting on snowmobiles. Among the sights there are hot wells, the picturesque lake Sevan. It is possible to book the excursions Garni-Gekhard and Yerevan-Echmiazdzin.

If you plan to go skiing in this resort, you can rent skis and snowboards and also all required for you equipment. If you have a rest with the children, you can take on a hire baby skis and a sledge.
