How to get to Armenia and where to be accommodated? What can you see in the country?

You can reach Armenia from Russia by plane and by bus. From Moscow daily flights are done from the capital of Armenia — Yerevan. If you want to save money, or just don’t like flying on airplanes, you can make traveling by bus to Yerevan, the cost of this trip will be two times lower than on the plane. The road lasts about two days; the route goes through North Ossetia and Georgia.

To find place to sleep over upon arrival, you can find in comfortable hotels of Yerevan. In the city center there are hotels with first-class service and all modern facilities: Wi-Fi, air conditioning, etc. When you first visit Armenia, it is better to accommodate in the center of Yerevan, giving excellent access to all attractions. If you are going on a long journey across the country, for example, on a trip to Sevan Lake, you will be able to rent accommodation there.

What you can see

Armenia is a huge number of attractions, so to see them you can with every visit to the country. It’s numerous monuments, temples, forts, canyons, lakes, waterfalls and caves. When you first visit the country you can visit the most famous sights with a guide, and then form individual routes.
In the capital you can visit museums. For example, the History Museum with large number of exhibits. In Armenia the ruins of ancient fortresses are in good conditions. For example, the medieval castle of Amberd. In the canyon of the Kasagh River you can visit the legendary ancient monasteries and Hovhannavank Saghmosavank.
